First Place in Sydney Eisteddfod for OFGS Company Jazz Troupe

Outstanding results for our dance troupes at the recent Sydney Eisteddfod held at University of New South Wales.

There has been great celebration around the School following our dance troupes’ outstanding performances at the Sydney Eisteddfod at the University of New South Wales on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th August. Those who have seen our 2019 performances know that they are fabulous and powerful artistic offerings from our students and tutors. Our dancers continue our proud tradition of excellence as they entertain and move audiences with their powerful performances.

We are proud of our Junior Show Troupe (Gold, who did not perform), Senior Show Troupe (Run Boy Run), and Company Lyrical (Wicked Games) who received a Highly Commended. And to finish a long day… Congratulations to our Company Jazz (Survivor), who attained First Place in the state in the secondary schools Sydney Eisteddfod, a wonderful testament to their hard work and skill, especially in a field of almost 40 of the best dance schools in Sydney and surrounds. Thanks to all students and the Performing Arts staff for all their hard work and effort. Well done.
