Dr. Peter Downey, Principal of Oxford Falls Grammar School
"When I arrived at Oxford Falls Grammar School in 2017, I was amazed at the strength of connection that past students, parents, staff and many community members felt towards the school. I am pleased we now have a way to keep those people connected here through the Oxford Falls Grammar School Alumni & Community site to stay in touch, network and facilitate contact online.
To get the most out of the site we encourage you to become a member and register here. Please get involved and share your news and stories, and if we haven't met yet, I hope to meet you soon at one of our upcoming events and hear about your OFGS experience"
(Class of 2014, Past Educational Assistant)
"During my time as a student at OFGS, one memory that stands out is the hours spent in the studio for curricular and extra-curricular dance and drama. I loved having the time and space to create, to learn new skills, to have fun with my friends, and to do something that was completely different from the rest of my school work"
(Class of 2013, Past Senior School Chaplain)
"My memories are not particularly for a specific event, although our Year 12 ceremony was such a special day of celebration, but more the feeling of appreciation and love for my time spent here at OFGS. I remember the respect and trust between staff and students, the feeling of the school backing you 100% in your pursuits and passions, the legacy and community surrounding the school and just a place where I felt at home throughout the week. Oxford Falls really helped define who I am today."
(Class of 2005)
"Mr Richard Andrews, my math's teacher during years 11/12 continually told me off for talking and distracting peers in class (it was here I knew my career in communications had started to blossom!). He put me on detention and we had a big chat, he agreed to back off so I could prove I could work hard. It was a pivotal moment for me, I went on to prove to myself that I could do well in school and these maths skills have carried me through into business today."
